Hosted Solutions - How to Reset Your Password

Your donors expect that your organization will take all the necessary steps to safeguard their personal information through proper security. One of the key ways to protect your organization from outside infiltration is by maintaining a secure password and changing it regularly.

Silent Partner Software recommends passwords with the following characteristics:

  • Minimum 12 characters
  • Upper and Lower-case letters
  • At least one number
  • At least one special character (e.g. !, @, $, %, ^)


The steps below will demonstrate how to change your password while using remote desktop. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Support.


1. Login using remote desktop and access the desktop of your hosted machine.


2. Using your keyboard, press the following keys at the same time: 'Ctrl' + 'Alt' + 'End' or on a Mac press 'Control' + 'Option' + 'Delete'.



3. Select the 'Change Password' button and change your password.


4. You've done it! By changing your password regularly and using Silent Partner Software's recommended password characteristics you're taking a key step in protecting your donors' data.
