Version 1.2.0 Release Notes
2020-02-26
Introduction
This document describes the changes made to PartnerHR to create release 1.2.
We continue to make improvements to the application as a whole. This means that each release includes minor fixes and user interface enhancements. These improvements are always included in your update but may not be documented in detail in the release notes. Some of the small improvements in this release were:
The terminology for individuals tracked in your database has been changed to People.
The People import template has been improved to make it more user friendly and intuitive.
Entry name fields now have the capacity to hold up to 100 characters. Previously the limit for these fields was 45 characters.
The Entries functionality has received the following enhancements:
Bulk Edit
Admins and Office Admins are now able to edit entries in bulk. This is available as a BULK EDIT button on the Dashboard and Entries screens and is enabled by default for Admins and Office Admins.
Create Entries for Regular Users
Non-admin users are now able to create entries for themselves. When enabled, the feature is available to users in the contact card panel of their profile page.
Visibility of this feature is managed on a per template basis. When editing an Entry Template, set the “Can any user create an entry from this template?” checkbox to enable the feature. Any templates with this checkbox set are then available for general users to access through their profile.
PartnerHR sends an email notification each time an entry is assigned to a user. We have expanded the notification functionality to also honour entries that are automatically entered by the system as a recurring entry. This means that each time a new entry is created without human intervention, a notification is also sent to the Entries Assignee.
The permissions for Volunteer Managers have been expanded. In this release, they are now able to create stories to associate with volunteer stories, edit the Employee Type and create new Volunteers.
The Profile page has a new Exit Date field. Use this field to record the date a Profile is marked as inactive. For any people inactivated before this release, the field remains empty but can be manually set. Moving forward this field is automatically set whenever the status of a Profile is changed to an Inactive status.
In an effort improve ease of use, we have enhanced the Templates page to include more helpful hints for how different settings affect the end permissions and behaviour. The hints are accessed by clicking the help icon while in the edit mode of a template.
