This Glass Register release makes mobile giving clearer, adds a new optional choice around payment processing fees, and resolves two issues.

Improved mobile donation forms

Donation forms now have a more balanced layout on phones. One-time and monthly choices appear side by side, suggested amounts use a grid, and button sizing and spacing are more consistent throughout the form.

Supporting a sustainable giving experience

Glass Register is free for organizations to use and is supported by voluntary contributions from donors. To support the long-term sustainability of this model, we’re making two updates to how credit card donations are handled.

These changes are designed to keep the giving experience flexible and transparent for donors, while helping Glass Register remain free and sustainable for the nonprofit organizations we serve.

Credit-card donation maximum

Individual credit-card donations are now limited to 5,000. Donations up to that amount continue as usual. If a donor enters a larger amount, they will see a friendly message explaining how to connect with the organization to complete their gift through another giving method.

An optional way to cover processing fees

When a donor chooses not to leave a voluntary contribution, they may see an optional follow-up asking if they would like to cover the payment processing fee instead. It is entirely optional, and donors can accept or decline in one click before continuing their gift.

The error that could occur while generating a social-media post has been resolved.

More accurate donation CSV exports

Donation CSV exports now include all donations from the final day of the selected date range.
