Silent Partner has disappeared from my desktop, how do I get it back?

If Silent Partner is installed locally (on your computer, not a server) and your shortcut/ desktop icon has disappeared, follow these steps:
  1. Go to the Windows (C:) drive on your computer and scroll down to find the SPW (Silent Partner) folder.
  2. Open the SPW folder and scroll down to find spwH (application) file.
  3. Copy the spwH file to your desktop using one of the following methods:
    1. Right click on the file and from the pop-up menu select "Send to" and then "Desktop (create shortcut)."
    2. Highlight the file and use Ctrl + C to copy it and Ctrl + V to paste it on your desktop.
If Silent Partner is installed on a server, follow these steps:
  1. Go to "My Computer" and select the network drive for the server/host computer. If it has a red X, it has been disconnected. Selecting it should reconnect the drive.
  2. Open the network drive for the server/host computer and find the SPW (Silent Partner) folder.
  3. Follow step 3 above.
If the newly created shortcut doesn't look like it should:
  1. Right click on the shortcut/icon and select "Properties."
  2. On the "Shortcut" tab select the "Change Icon" button.
  3. Select the appropriate icon and click "OK" which will close that window.
  4. Click "OK" again and your icon/ desktop shortcut should be back to normal. If it isn't, reboot your computer to resolve this.
