If Silent Partner is installed locally (on your computer, not a server) and your shortcut/ desktop icon has disappeared, follow these steps:
- Go to the Windows (C:) drive on your computer and scroll down to find the SPW (Silent Partner) folder.
- Open the SPW folder and scroll down to find spwH (application) file.
- Copy the spwH file to your desktop using one of the following methods:
- Right click on the file and from the pop-up menu select "Send to" and then "Desktop (create shortcut)."
- Highlight the file and use Ctrl + C to copy it and Ctrl + V to paste it on your desktop.
If Silent Partner is installed on a server, follow these steps:
- Go to "My Computer" and select the network drive for the server/host computer. If it has a red X, it has been disconnected. Selecting it should reconnect the drive.
- Open the network drive for the server/host computer and find the SPW (Silent Partner) folder.
- Follow step 3 above.
If the newly created shortcut doesn't look like it should:
- Right click on the shortcut/icon and select "Properties."
- On the "Shortcut" tab select the "Change Icon" button.
- Select the appropriate icon and click "OK" which will close that window.
- Click "OK" again and your icon/ desktop shortcut should be back to normal. If it isn't, reboot your computer to resolve this.
