How to Tag donors, create Filters and Scopes, and Memorize Scopes

Tagging donor records

Records can be tagged individually by clicking the checkbox to the left of the donor's name. If you need to tag a series of donor records that appear one below the other, check the top (or bottom) donor in the list. Then hold the shift key and check the donor record at the other end of your list. All the donors between the first and second will be tagged.

Create a Scope

Once you have tagged names, you can reduce your list of names to create a Scope. To do this, click the filter button and select "Set filter to tagged names."

Invert all

If you need to exclude a small group of records from your Scope, Tag the records to be excluded. Then select "Invert all" from the drop down on the Filter button.

Memorize a Scope

You can memorize a list of names for use later. Click the drop down next to the Filter button and select Memorize current scope or Memorize tagged names, depending on whether you have only tagged names or whether you have created a Scope.

Once you have memorized a Scope or list of tagged names, you can easily restore that list by clicking the drop down next to the Filter button and selecting “Restore Memorized scope.”

Clear Filter

To restore all your records to the screen, click the filter button and select "Clear all Tags" or "Clear Filter" under the Filter drop down.
