What's in a Donor Record?

What is contained on a donor record?

  1. tab 1 is contact information and address. It also contains the fields First line (labels) and First line (receipts) which are mandatory fields that provide the donor name for the receipts or envelopes/labels produced by Silent Partner.

  2. tab 2 is additional contact information and also contains codes that identify what's special about that donor:
    1. Donor Source code - indicates where the donor came from
    2. Owner Code - who is the primary partner for this donor?
    3. Mail code - which mailings are appropriate for the donor?
    4. Category code - which group does this donor belong to?

    2. Type of donor - Individual, Business, registered charity, etc. This is a mandatory field! Only taxpayer B and taxpayer I get tax deductible receipts, the remainder get an acknowledgement or an unofficial receipt.
    3. The Comments field indicates changes that have been made to the donor record.

  1. tab 4 is family member information
