What type of donor can get an Official Tax Receipt? And what types of donations are Receiptable?
To get a receipt at the end of the year, the “Charitable Gift?” field on the donation entry screen must be set to “Yes” — if it’s “No”, they will get no receipt. If it is “Yes”, then, if their donor type is “I” or “B”, they will get an “Official Receipt for Income Tax Purposes”; if their donor type is anything else, the receipt they get will not be Official.
