Working with Donor Records in Silent Partner
In this article, we talk about how to find a donor (search), how to sort your donor records, how to make changes to a donor record (edit), and how to re-size your columns and move the summary window back to its default position.
Search for a record
If you double-click on a column heading, like Donor Name or Donor #, and then start typing, Silent Partner narrows down the list of matching names. The column heading will turn dark grey.
Sort your records
Next to the column heading name, you'll see a small arrow. Click the arrow to sort by that column. Clicking the arrow a second time will change the direction of the sort.
Edit a donor record
Double click on the donor name to open the record, or click the edit donor button.
Click "Apply" to save changes and continue working in the donor record, or click "OK" to save your changes and close the donor record.
Restore Summary Information window
If your summary information window has disappeared off your screen or is not in the bottom right corner of your screen (see below), go to Edit > Restore Summary Information Window position.
Restore Browse columns
If your columns have been stretched out, or shrunken, and you want them to go back to the default size, go to Edit > Restore browse columns to original width.
